Secure space
The Home Quality Mark One, Technical Manual SD239, England, Scotland & Wales, published by BRE in 2018, defines a secure space as:
An enclosed space that:
- Is accessible only to the residents of the home.
- Is accessed directly from an external door of the home.
- Has permanent fixings or fittings.
A communal drying space is acceptable only if such space is enclosed, is only accessible to the residents and has a secure entrance.
